I AM MAKING ART .

I like painting now.
Oh, oh yeah. I like painting - it's a new hobby. I tear pages of interiors out of magazines and then draw and paint them in newly organised interiors.

I bought a cheap set of watercolour paints and some paint brushes and a sketch pad. I'm well professhh.

I also bought a MAHUUSIVE interior design photographic book from the Works - cost me £2.99. Looked it up on Amazon - it costs £22 ! Quite a find. Went back in a few days ago and there weren't any left - not surprised! (Well actually, I am surprised because I found it in a really obscure place, behind some other books at the back of the shop).

SO yeah, I've kind of come up with an incredibly random back-up life plan; Interior Design. I've looked online how to get into it - and a lot of places are saying you need qualifications in it, but I attempt to go against the odds and hopefully just get some experience. I've emailed a dozen local Interior Design places, and only two have come back to me - saying they don't really do work experiences. PIGS BUMS.
Will continue on in the hopes of becoming (if all else fails) Britain's Next Top Interior Designer!

Confusions .

Recently I've found myself questioning everything around me. I feel as if I don't understand anything apart from that which I have read in my books, even though I'm very aware that I do.

Currently I feel like I need a life tutor - someone to sit me down and explain why I can suddenly develop a total longing for a place I've never been to, why I can become so sad at the thought of things that never even occurred to me before, how I can become so passionate about the smallest thing at the drop of a hat.

I feel like narrowing down what I want to do in life in order to cancel out all these feelings of confusion. I'm going to make a list of things I absolutely want to do in my life.

Here is that list;

1. I want my family always. Ohana; Lilo & Stitch.
2. Experience love.
3. Be consistently and effortlessly spontaneous.
4. Wander around the planet.
5. See wild animals.
6. Be an actress.
7. Own a cat.

Oh and be happy ? That'd surely be nice, son .

Holy Slacker Batman !

I'm about ready to scream with excitement. 13 Days until I move into Uni. Wow wow wow.

Screw punctuation Hellyeahs who needs punctuation at an amazing purely and accurately honestly amazing moment in my life like this

I will have to start punctuating eventually, however; if I plan to pass my degree. (Which I most certainly do)

I think I need to start buying housey-crap. Duvet sets, egg-timers... you know the story. I think I need to start considering parting with some money.

I spent approx. £130 on books on Amazon.co.uk today. All from the recommended reading list, I'll assure you. Waste not, want not. I only bought 9 books. Scandalous.

-------------------------------------------

My driving is at a level now where I'm majorly cocky. Seriously cocksure. I will just zoom about, blah blah. I know the roads, blah blah. I know the rules, blah blah. I know who has right of way, blah blah.
Hopefully my test will run smoothly and I will obtain a disgusting pink driving license instead of the reasonably attractive green one. It's a lovely shade of green; like watered down grass .
I just want to get going, which is a pointless emotion considering I don't actually own or require a car at this stage of my life. I'll just nick Mum's for a few hours at the weekend and go for a drive, pick up a friend, turn up the volume.

My, what a bollocking boring post. Should I liven it up with a picture ? Yeahh. Better .

BOOKED.

Practical driving test booked. Pleased, excited and scared.

Sorry for being such a shiteous blogger of late. I'm not entirely sure what has come over me, but I'm pretty certain it has something to do with the fact that my priorities look something like this;

Learning to drive > work > re-reading Harry Potter.

Maybe, possibly.

So, even fashion hasn't got a look-in this month, because on top of my priorities [see above] I've got this unbelievable, overwhelming fear of August 20th when I receive my A-Level results. It's truly terrifying. I just want to relax, check online to see that Birmingham have confirmed my offer, and then stroll into school to see what grades I've earned. That's all I want.
I've booked the day off work just in case my biggest nightmare becomes reality and I need several hours of begging time to convince Birmingham that I am a million times better than my A-Level results and to let me in.

STRESS.

Right then, I'm aware I haven't posted my Number 1 top model yet. Stay tuned, I'll show her off next post. :)

Thanks for bearing with me.

18 years old + 200th post.

So, yeah, I'm 18. What about it ? HA.

Basically, when you are born, you go through this terribly fun stage called childhood, when no-one expects anything from you and you are left to your own devices to play and be a bit mad and go around saying what you like because you are young and sweet and innocent and you are terribly amusing. Then you go through a darker stage called adolescence where you are expected to decide important things, experience things and get bad skin. This stage is awful and completely contradicts all the happiness experienced in the first stage. Stage three is adulthood. I have no idea how this stage goes considering I'm only on my 3rd day of it. I wonder if it'll be worse than stage 2? Considering this is longest stage, lasting until about the age of 50 when you hit the 4th stage; the menopausal years, and then the final 5th stage when you are 60; the free bus-pass stage.

You know what? Fuck it. I'm living in the now.

Adulthood-whey. Drinks ahoy, I'm technically legal to do anything, apart from, you know, dealing drugs... and murder.

I am severely bricking it about August 20th. Seriously, I might just die. But before August 20th is July 17th. IT'S ON FRIDAY PEOPLE !! 18 At last !!
I've asked for Ray-Bans + a book on Edie ♥
I'm going out for dinner with friends and then on to somewhere to rave it up. Probably. ;)

Super.

Well my dears, my exams are nearly over. In fact, I have only 1 left; Hurrah !

On Friday I'm going a bit mental. Here is the plan;
Revision.
Exam.
Buy Sims 3.
Tidy room.
Eat Dinner.
TRANSFORMERS 2 !!
Sleep.

Amazing, no? Saturday will go as follows;
Wellesbourne Market.
Lunch.
SIMS 3, SIMS 3, SIMS 3 !!!
Eat, sleep.

The rest of my life [well, before August when all hell breaks loose] will be organised in the fashion of;
Sims 3, draw, swim, watch a film, read a book, Sims 3. With some sleeping and eating thrown in randomly.

O to sleep, perchance to dream.

♥

I'm getting quite attached to this little blog. Dare say it, I really am.
Sure, it took a year of laziness and frequent header changes to come up with a layout that I liked, but it's all been worth it.

I'm currently revising for my last ever English Exam. I'm a bit worried, but hopefully it'll be okay. It's just remembering lots of quotes and structures.

On a different note, it's my birthday in a month or so. My parents have told me they want to buy me something extra special and were actually in talks of buying me a car until I talked them out of it. I know, crazy right? Well, no, not really. If I ever get the grades to go to Uni then I'll be paying a ridiculous amount of money that I don't have every month to insure a care that I'll only use probably 2 months out of the year. Utterly pointless. And expensive. [They're getting me one for my 21st instead :) ]Instead I'm thinking of some good quality jewellry. Much like the ones found here;

www.alexmonroe.com

Pretty designs in gold & silver. Standouts for me are the bumble-bee necklace and the twig rings with birds and butterflies and diamonds. Aye, aye.

ART.

I'm getting into it. Art, that is.

I can't quite explain my sudden urge to draw and illustrate and be more generally creative. I guess you can say that this absolute crazy urge to become artistic started about a week ago when I decided to make my mother's birthday card instead of buying one. I got the idea from a fascinating little blog named adorably Lilliebe. [http://lilliebe.blogspot.com/]
The girl on this blog is terribly good at being artistic, making birthday cards for her friends and relatives and posting pictures on her blog. I saw these cards and found myself so enamoured with the care and cleverness of them and decided to give them a go.
Sure, my card turned out like not one third like Lilliebe's adorable little elements of stationary, but Mum seemed to appreciate it. I might post some pics later. [Or not, whatever]

So, I've been looking at illustrations and the like. Graphic design schools, typography, etcetera . You see, apart from my C Grade at GCSE, my knowledge of art is limited. My ability is not natural but hard-earned, after sitting next to Rosie in Art class and observing more closely than a detective. I picked up the techniques of shading, parallel curves and sharp edges, and I gathered a passable talent.

In fairness it is shameful, though. It really is.

So, the plan is to use my several months in the sun after my exams end on June 19th until university for art practise. I already have a little routine to stop me from going totally insane all by myself doing nothing for the month before everyone else breaks up from school/work.

11am - Go swimming at the local leisure centre; it's about a 10 minute walk from my house and only costs me £1.80 to get in, coz I'm a stoodunt innit?
LUNCH
ART
FILM
* SIMS 2/3

Good eh? Haha.
With hope and practise, hopefully I'll become half the artist I strive to be. You know, alongside being an Oscar-winning actress and having a must-read column in a fashion magazine and generally ruling the world alongside Shia LaBeouf and the cat.

* Should I get Sims 3? Should I, should I, should I?

Drashion Faama

I want to open a big university-like school and call it;
The Drashion Faama school of Fashion and Drama.

Fabulous.
Then no-one would ever have to chose whether to go into Fashion and Drama, they can go to a school that specialises in both.

Great idea, no?

Last Week Ever.

Is the world ending? No.
But I am leaving school right? Yeah.
So the world is definitely over then? Oh, I suppose.

Last week next week. Then I'm on my own. Revision, exams.
Everything I've ever known finishes on June 19th.

Then it's over. What to do? Sims 2? Miami Ink? Sunbathing? Sleep? All of the previous?

One thing's for certain, I'll bloody well do what I want, and I won't feel the least bit sorry. Nuh-uh. Nada.

It's terribly strange really. You go through all 13 years of your school life never doubting, or experiencing real fear. You simply glide through, a few worries about schoolwork here and there, a total hatred about having to go school constantly, but when that is over what happens? Do you automatically become more responsible? Intelligent? Do you suddenly know what a mortgage is, what debt feels like, how to work a tumble dryer?
I don't want to.
I don't want to at all.
I want Summer to continue, with the birds in the sky and the freedom to be complacent.

However, complacency is death; I'll never be complacent.

All That Superficial Shit.

I still want it.
My dream is to fly, over the rainbow, so high.

The deepest desire of my heart.

I do not care where I live in the future. It can be a condo in Miami with a doormat that's always sandy or a teeny tiny flat in North Yorkshire. I DO NOT care. As long as I get my wall of books, SMEG fridge and cat; all will be swell. Trust me, if I one day have these 3 things, I may produce a basket full of glitter and parade around town on a giraffe's back.
I've wanted a wall of books since seeing Beauty and the Beast when I was, oh I don't know, 4? That's nearly 14 years of wanting. My.
The SMEG fridge is a bit of a crush, really. It would keep my cheese and slices of melon all fresh and cool.
The cat is a default want. It just has to happen.

------------------------------------------------

Some other desire of my heart are of the fashion-nature and look something like this;

My new fashion icon is Johnny Depp. Yezzir. I want studs, tarten [plaid] and lots of layers. I want blacks and reds and silvers. Aye aye captain. It is for these reasons that I need the new Alexander Wang bag in my life;

Alternatively, one could look at MK Olsen's take on the Johnny Depp look;

Niiice.

Something inspiring..

Yeah, something inspiring for me, mind; not something inspiring for you; never something inspiring for you. :P

My drama teacher announced my amazingness in front of the whole class today. Probably because my New Orleans drawl was top-quality in a little performance me and another girl did.

I knew my little obsession with Lil Wayne would come in handy on one distant horizon :) His accent inspired my entire performance that recieved such a brilliant review.

Mr Carter, dearest, I salute you. ♥

Future acting career? Yes sir. [Please?]

VOGUE ♥

I want an internship, please?
I so badly want to write. To write about fashion. To write of what I am passionate about.

For years I have collected Vogue magazines, ever since I was old enough to realise that you spell it Vogue, not Vouge.

Since my dream of becoming a ballet dancer dwindled in front of me, I have had no drive; no fire.
No ambition.
Then it came to me; I love writing, I love fashion. BANG.

And now it is a desire, a passion. I finally have that roaring anger within my very torso - driving me forward, forcing me to succeed; to be happy once more.

The oppurtunity to work at the Vogue house in London would be worth dropping out of University, regardless of the hard work I'd have put in on securing that place.

I want to work in the features section. Help with the organisation of the interviewing of the cover-girls, the celebrities, the fashion know-hows. I'd want to help shimmy the photoshoots and produce an amazing feature every month.

Anyone? Please?

Merry Christmas + New Year;

Here is to new beginnings, magical wishes, fabulous fashions and colossal music beats.

Let's hope the apes find each other and breed more and the locals stop hunting them for bush meat and the city-folk stop shooting the mothers to take away the babies and sell them as pets.

Let's hope the hard-working archaeologists find out what really happened to Nefertiti and find conformation of her tomb.

Let's hope T.K.Maxx opens a branch in Stratford.

Let's hope Lil Wayne puts on a gig at Cox's Yard.

To those having a less than fortunate time right now due to the credit crunch, I hope for a better occasion in the year 2009.

Let's hope I get at least BBB and get into Birmingham University, only to drop out a year later due to becoming an amazing Hollywood actress and a fierce member of the hip-hop scene, and of course, a fashion icon.

If I had the knowledge of who I was praying to and prayed; I'd pray for this.

Sunday, 16 November 2008

My little Xmas wish list;

1. I would like Lost Season 4 Box-set please. :D

2. I would like the coffee table book 'Influence' by Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen. [Erm.... duh] Please.

3. I would like a new Nintendo DS game; 'Professor Layton's Curious Village' please.

4. And finally, I want Ray Ban Aviators, please.

Oh, and like a grand in cash would be just swell, darling. ;)

Royal Shakespeare Theatre;

Hello, me again.

As I may or may not have mentioned, on Wednesday next week, I will have 'RSC Actress' on my CV. Why? Why do you think?

I'm performing on the RSC Courtyard stage. I'm so overwhelmed. However, there is a minor set-back... I'm frigging shattered !!

8.30am -8pm of physical movement every day is absolutely exhausting. I must have burned off at least a couple of calories. Fabulous! Speaking of calories, I overheard a small girl, age estimated at about 11, excitingly telling her friend how she had lost 3 pounds recently. This girl was an average size for her age; skinny! I was bewildered, but then continued to eat my sausage bap.

Anyway... On Tuesday I had the pleasure of watching the 'sold out £500 per-ticket on EBay' Hamlet. You know, the one with David Tennant in it? It left much to be desired, to be frank.

David Tennant [Whom I find hard to find attractive; what is it? The psychopathic expressions? The mousy features? The weedy-ness?] was you know, good at the 'feigning madness' parts, but totally ballsed up the soliloquies. 'To be or not to be?' Tennant didn't seem to really care, standing there in a comical t-shirt, jeans and bare feet. Also, his first soliloquy 'Oh too too solid flesh would melt...' was said on a heap on the floor. Niiiice. Stand up man. You're frigging Hamlet.

I laughed out loud at some parts though; Hamlet's imitation of Claudius played marvelously by the one and only [short] Patrick Stewart was amazing, although Tennant did turn into Dr Who towards the end of the night, and the accent began to show seepings of Scottish. [Why not just perform in Scottish? Is he afraid we will all reject him? At least the Scotch sounds FRIGGING SANE. His plain English is just Dr Who to me, and Tennant as Dr Who irritates the shizzle out of me, although I have to admit - it can be highly amusing at times.]

Overall a good night, if not a lonnnnnnnng night. [4 Hours, I recall.]
Was it worth my £12? Yeah. I suppose.
Was it worth 4 hours of my life? 2 Definitely, pushing it at 3, no way 4.
Was Tennant 'the best Hamlet everrr!!11!'? No. But then again, I haven't seen many other Hamlets to compare. The Hamlet in my head performs it better, because, you know, he's the actual Hamlet. ANYWAY...

I rate RSC's 2008 Production of Hamlet a 7/10.
Patrick Stewart was ace. [tick]
Elements of comedy that worked really well. [tick]
Stunning set. [tick]
Superb costumes. [tick]
Nice arrangement & ensemble [tick]
Dude that was in The Dark Knight and ultimately knew Heath Ledger ♥ [tick]
Beautiful girl from the car ad with the willowy body and perfect features [tick]

No ticks for;
- Gertrude [the actress was bloody annoying, and I nearly caught a glimpse of her 50+ year old breast.]
- Ophelia [Can't stand the character anyway, I find her a pathetic excuse of a woman, but the actress was a bit shit. Let's be blunt now.]
- Hamlet.

'Tis all for now ;)
