Ahh, simple-ness.

Over-fussy things thoroughly confuse and agitate me. Why name your child MacKayylah when you can call her Michaela - simple and much neater to the eyes.
This applies to the Annabella/Isabella tribe, too. Annabelle is so extremely cruddy to look at. 'But it has Belle in it - french for beautiful.' So? Annabel, or my personal preference Anabel looks so much neater, tidier and generally nicer. Same for Isabelle/Izzabell/Isobelle. Isobel is clean and takes away all those unnecessary letters.

It is common nowadays to insert random Ys and extra repeated consonants. Most who do this put it down to wanting to give their child a 'unique' spelling so that they are special.
Oh bloody fantastic. Very ingenious of you. You have managed to make a usually common name unique by adding an extra Y, I or L.
Do these parents not realise they are only making more work for themselves, children and everyone their children ever meet? An Emily becomes an Emmyleigh. A Madeleine becomes a Maddi'lynn.

How is this improving their name? It's making it an eyesore and generally more unpronounceable.
